Sleep phase delays
I tend to:Fall asleep late and have a lot of trouble getting up early in the morning.
I do light therapy: As soon as possible after getting up.

I tend to:Want to go to sleep before 9:00 PM, and wake up before 5:00 AM even though my schedule doesn’t require it
I do light therapy: Late afternoon/early evening.

“I am using the daylight glasses – the Luminettes – almost every day from October until mars every year. It is often dark outside when you get up in the morning in Sweden during wintertime. The daylight glasses are very helpful to get awake quickly and efficiently in the morning. During the treatment I can eat breakfast or do anything else (except taking a shower). Every session takes about half an hour, and by then the rechargeable battery is getting empty. I always have 1-2 fully charges batteries as a back-up. Sometimes I use the glasses in the evening before going to a party or something else, if I want to feel more alert. The effect is the same if you take a walk during a sunny day, but only when the sun is up of course. I strongly recommend using the Luminettes for those who need to get more alert during the darker season.“
